Adoring and owning are two different words. Aside from their spelling, their definitions vary as well. Now why would I want to point that out? That is because some people, who are in a relationship, tend to feel both towards their partners. Sometimes, they think of their lovers as a “possession” that they adore, which is not always acceptable for the other parties. Now, are you one of them? Do you tend to rule over your woman? If the answer is yes, then you may want to take a step back and re-examine your ways.
You see, in loving someone you have to be sensitive of her feelings. Otherwise, she would feel neglected or inadequate. The best thing that you should do is to consider both your interests so that you do not end up choking each other. The same concept must be applied during intercourse as well. You also need to think about her satisfaction aside from your own. If you want to reach orgasm, then you need to give her a similar experience as well. That way, both of you will be satiated.
Now, are you controlling? Most individuals with this behaviour tend to act strange around their loved ones. In a psychological level, this attitude is usually caused by obsession. Of course, there is nothing wrong with that deep devotion you feel towards your lover. It is also normal to feel jealous once in a while. However, you need to keep it at a rational level. If you do not, then your actions could have a negative effect to the relationship. If you feel like you are beginning to act authoritative, then you need to change that in order to retain a healthy love life.
I have been in a restrictive affair before and it was not fun at all. In my case, however, I was the one who is in command. It felt satisfying at some point, but it eventually became boring. That is because my girlfriend back then would follow everything I say in order to avoid problems and confrontations. Without the challenge, our affair became less exciting. What is even worse was that she simply fell out of love and into hate.
